Preview: Heartland vs. Shelton
On Friday Shelton take on Heartland at 7:00 PM. Both of these teams will be looking for a pick-me-up after considerable defeats in their previous games.
Shelton found themselves the reluctant recipients of an unpleasant 22-52 punch to the gut against Ravenna last Friday. Shelton's defeat came about despite a quality game from junior Marcus Lauber, who rushed for 93 yards and 2 touchdowns. Lauber has been a consistent playmaker for Shelton as this was the 3rd good game in a row from him.
Meanwhile, Heartland came into their this week averaging 39 points per game, but Heartland fell well short of that average, and it cost them. They were completely outmatched, falling 6-50 to Nebraska Christian. Heartland were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 6-26.
With the two teams each stumbling in off of a loss, both will be hungry for the victory. We'll see which team satisfies their hunger and which team leaves with an empty stomach.
