Football Game Preview: Yelm Tornados vs. Graham-Kapowsin Eagles

The Yelm Tornados will head out to face off against the Graham-Kapowsin Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Yelm is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 35 points last Friday, they were much more limited against Spanaway Lake on Friday. They took a 17-13 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sentinels.

Meanwhile, Graham-Kapowsin strolled into their game on Thursday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 61-34 win over Bonney Lake. The Eagles' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Graham-Kapowsin's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Yelm, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

Yelm might still be hurting after the 57-36 defeat they got from Graham-Kapowsin in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Eagles' AJ Tuivaiave, who threw for 422 yards and seven TDs while completing 76.9% of his passes.
