Basketball Recap: Southeast Gets the Win

If Encampment wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Southeast, they should've done a better job of containing Ayden Desmond. The Southeast Cyclones secured a 43-39 W over the Encampment Tigers on Saturday thanks in part to Desmond, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 13 rebounds. Those 13 boards gave him a new career-high.

The team also got some help courtesy of TJ Moats, who went 5 of 10 en route to 10 points along with eight rebounds and five blocks. He is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted two or more in the last ten games he's played.

Southeast's win bumped their record up to 10-7. As for Encampment, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Southeast will take on Big Horn at 2:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Encampment, they will face off against Farson-Eden at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
