Softball Recap: Davenport Comes Up Short

Davenport was the 11-4 winner over Bishop Moore when they last played one another back in March, but their luck changed this time around. The Broncos fell just short of the Hornets by a score of 8-7 on Thursday. The Broncos have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Morgan Cresswell made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while going 2-for-4. Leena Sakal also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Davenport now has a losing record of 7-8. As for Bishop Moore, their record now sits at 7-12.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Davenport will face off against Ridge Community at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Broncos are facing the Bolts at the right time seeing as the Bolts are stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Bishop Moore, they will take on Mount Dora at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
