Australian basketball team to visit California

El Centro Southwest will host Ipswich Grammar School players in early December.
Southwest (El Centro, Calif.) will host the Ipswich Grammar School boys' basketball team from Australia next month.
Ipswich is the oldest school in Queensland, opening its doors in 1863. The Eagles will play Ipswich on Dec. 2.
This is a unique deal, more than a basketball game. The day after these teams meet on the court the Australians will shadow players from Southwest's team to get a glimpse of what El Centro students go through on a daily basis.
"I think it's going to be exciting, something new for the city of El Centro," Southwest coach Ruben Valenzuela told the Imperial Valley Press.
