Volleyball Recap: Braddock Triumphs

Braddock had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the St. Thomas Aquinas Raiders on Saturday, sneaking past 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Bulldogs have posted since April 11, 2024.

Gabriel Perez-Malo paced Braddock's offense, picking up 21 kills. Perez-Malo got some help from Adrian Martin and his 18 assists.

Despite the defeat, St. Thomas Aquinas saw an underclassman step up: freshman Joseph Virginio had 15 digs and one assist. That's the most digs Virginio has posted over his last eight contests.

Braddock's victory bumped their record up to 5-7. As for St. Thomas Aquinas, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-5.

Braddock has already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Palmetto on the 22nd. As for St. Thomas Aquinas, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Goleman on the 22nd.
