Soccer Game Preview: Clear Creek vs. Flatirons Academy

Clear Creek is 1-6 against Flatirons Academy since May of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Golddiggers will host the Bison at 4:00 p.m. Clear Creek has given up an average of 5.8 goals per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Clear Creek is headed into Tuesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Thursday. They came up short against Gilpin County, falling 8-0. While losing is never fun, Clear Creek can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado soccer rankings (they are ranked 217th, while Gilpin County are ranked 72nd).

Flatirons Academy played against Fountain Valley on Saturday and won via forfeit.

Clear Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Flatirons Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-2-1.

Clear Creek might still be hurting after the 10-0 loss they got from Flatirons Academy when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can the Golddiggers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
