Football Recap: Austin Slover's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Karns over William Blount + How To Watch

Karns was the 26-21 winner over William Blount when they last played one another back in August of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Beavers lost 55-30 to the Governors on Friday. The Beavers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Several Beavers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Austin Slover, who threw for 238 yards and two TDs on only 13 passes, and also rushed for 56 yards on only five carries. Cameron George was another key back, rushing for 184 yards while picking up 7.1 yards per carry.

Karns' defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for William Blount, their win bumped their record up to 4-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Karns will face off against Halls at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for William Blount, they will challenge Heritage at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
