Basketball Recap: Hialeah Thoroughbreds vs. Mourning Sharks
Hialeah won the last time they faced Mourning, and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Hialeah Thoroughbreds narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Mourning Sharks 76-74. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Thoroughbreds.
Mourning lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Omari Meda, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 11 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Alan Gomez, who went 5 for 7 en route to 16 points plus two steals.
Hialeah's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Mourning, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-2.
