Baseball Game Preview: Monroe Dragons vs. Crosshill Christian Eagles

For the second straight game, Monroe will face off against Crosshill Christian. The Dragons will be playing at home against the Eagles at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. Monroe will be looking to extend their current 11-game winning streak.

Monroe came out on top against Crosshill Christian on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive seven-run fifth inning. The Dragons put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 10-3 victory. The Dragons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten matchups by six runs or more this season.

For Crosshill Christian's part, they saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Miles Lute, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run and one double.

Monroe's win was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-3. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. As for Crosshill Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-6.
