Softball Recap: Perry County Central Wins Going Away Against Leslie County

Perry County Central won the last time they faced Leslie County and things went their way on Monday too. Perry County Central put the hurt on Leslie County with a sharp 15-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Commodores, who have now won six games by six runs or more so far this season.

Perry County Central let Taylan Hoskins and Ashlyn Dixon run wild. Hoskins went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI, while Dixon got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. Those four RBI gave Dixon a new career-high. Molly Holliday also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.

Perry County Central was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .476. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Perry County Central has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. Leslie County's loss dropped their record down to 2-5.

Looking ahead, Perry County Central is taking a road trip to take on Estill County at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
