Holton extended the longest winning streak in Big Seven this week by beating Wamego, 51-12. The victory was the seventh in a row for the team.

Perry-Lecompton moved up to 133 from 170 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Kaws were able to make the jump by defeating Tonganoxie 30-0.

Perry-Lecompton's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Seth Surface threw for 138 and one touchdown and Trevor Dark had 56 yards receiving. On the ground Brandon Eddy chipped in 179 yards. Riley Davis helped Perry-Lecompton's passing attack out by catching five balls for 48 yards.

Mike Paramore's team's Surface and Davis have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Surface has thrown for 875 yards this season, while Davis, a 6-foot-3 receiver, has 27 catches for 380 yards. Drake Ewing from Holton leads the league in rushing with 648 yards.

Jefferson West and Basehor-Linwood played the most hotly contested game in Big Seven this week, with Jefferson West eventually emerging with a 13-8 victory.
