A Season-Best Effort from Aiden Lane Leads Ava over Cabool
On Friday, Ava got the W thanks in part to Aiden Lane playing the best football he has all season. Lane rushed for 102 yards and three touchdowns on only eight carries, and also threw for 129 yards on 11 of 16 attempts.
Ava's win bumped their record up to 6-2. Lane and Ava will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Clever at 7:00 p.m. on November 1st.

Jordan Arthur Goes Supernova in Houston Defeat
Houston had to settle for second on Friday, but Jordan Arthur sure wasn't going down easily. Arthur was unstoppable, rushing for 89 yards and two touchdowns, while also picking up 73 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Houston has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-3 record this season. Arthur's next contest is against Liberty on Friday, where he'll look to repeat that solid performance.

Mountain Grove Wins Fifth-Straight Thanks to Braydon Curtiss
Mountain Grove picked up their fifth consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Braydon Curtiss. Curtiss' rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 133 rushing yards dating back to last season. He also punched in two rushing touchdowns, which is notable because Mountain Grove is undefeated when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 0-3 otherwise.
Mountain Grove pushed their record up to 5-3 with the win, which was their third straight at home. A feisty cat fight will be fought when Panthers takes on Thayer at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Cooper Hoerning and Co. Win Fifth in a Row
Cooper Hoerning's big game helped extend Mountain Grove's winning streak to five on Friday. Hoerning was unstoppable, making a tackle.
