Basketball Recap: Sherman Indian Takes a Loss

Sherman Indian played a tough matchup on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against the Woodcrest Christian Royals, falling 61-38. The Braves have struggled against the Royals recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Woodcrest Christian was led to victory by Michael Carlson and Breck Wilson. Carlson posted 11 points and seven boards, while Wilson scored seven points and four steals. Those four steals gave Wilson a new career-high. Madden Anderson was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Sherman Indian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Woodcrest Christian, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sherman Indian will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Public Safety Academy at 5:00 p.m. on December 2. As for Woodcrest Christian, they will head out to face off against Heritage at 2:00 p.m. on Monday.
