Football Game Preview: Elizabeth Forward Warriors vs. Mt. Pleasant Vikings + How To Watch

Elizabeth Forward is 8-1 against Mt. Pleasant since September of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Warriors will host the Vikings at 7:00 p.m. One thing working in Elizabeth Forward's favor is that they have posted at least 31 points in their last five contests.

Elizabeth Forward's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They claimed a resounding 42-0 win over Southmoreland. The victory continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Scotties: they've now won eight in a row.

Ryan Messina was his usual excellent self, rushing for 193 yards and three scores while picking up 8.8 yards per carry, and also throwing for 164 yards while completing 75% of his passes. That's the most rushing touchdowns he has posted since back in August.

Messina was just one part of a punishing run game: Elizabeth Forward was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 250 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 155 rushing yards in seven consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, Mt. Pleasant came up short against Derry on Friday, falling 33-13. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Mt. Pleasant's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Elizabeth Forward, their win bumped their record up to 8-1.
