Football Game Preview: Cedar Cliff Colts vs. Carlisle Thundering Herd

The Cedar Cliff Colts will head out on the road to face off against the Carlisle Thundering Herd at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Things were looking good for Cedar Cliff after they put the first points on the board on Friday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They took a hard 36-21 fall against State College. While losing is never fun, the Colts can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 145th, while the Little Lions are ranked 38th).

Meanwhile, Carlisle was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 6-0 heartbreaker at the hands of Chambersburg.

Cedar Cliff now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Carlisle, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-7.

Everything came up roses for Cedar Cliff against Carlisle in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 41-13 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Colts since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
