Basketball Recap: Gary West Side Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Gary West Side can now relate to. They lost 44-22 to the Highland Trojans on Tuesday. The Cougars' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it seven in a row.

Jordan Steele was her usual excellent self, putting up 21 points and five steals for Highland. Steele is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least three every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Avery Steele, who posted ten points.

Gary West Side's loss dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Highland, their record is now 12-10.

Gary West Side does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Highland, they will face off against Hammond Bishop Noll at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hammond Bishop Noll will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Highland surely won't give up without a fight.
