Baseball Recap: Acalanes Takes a Loss

Acalanes was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They fell 7-3 to the Clayton Valley Charter Eagles. That's two games in a row now that the Dons have lost by exactly four runs.

Jimmy Cusumano made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. That home run was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Josh Lee, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one double.

Acalanes' defeat dropped their record down to 8-14-1. As for Clayton Valley Charter, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 15 of their last 16 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-3 record this season.

While Acalanes had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
