If Hartford Magnet Trinity College Academy wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Weaver, they should've done a better job of containing Jyeire Perry. The Beavers blew past the Phoenix 75-38 on Tuesday with plenty of help from Perry, who went 9-for-16 on his way to 22 points and three steals. He has also also been stellar as far as shooting accuracy is concerned: he's posted one of at least 55% every time he's hit the court this season.

Another player making a difference was Romeir Nelson, who posted eight points along with ten boards and five blocks. He is becoming a predictor of Weaver's success: when he posts at least three blocks the team is 2-1 (and 2-5 when he doesn't).

Weaver's record now sits at 4-6. As for Hartford Magnet Trinity College Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-6.

Coming up, Weaver will be playing in front of their home fans against Classical Magnet at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Beavers will be up against the Gladiators' rather soft defense (which has allowed 65.4 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Hartford Magnet Trinity College Academy, they will head out to take on Sports & Medical Sciences Academy at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. The Phoenix will need to watch out since the Tigers have now posted at least 55 points in their last four contests.
