Basketball Recap: Palatine Comes Up Short

Palatine was the 61-41 winner over Barrington when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Palatine Pirates took a 62-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Barrington Fillies/Broncos. The Pirates have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Palatine's loss dropped their record down to 13-12. As for Barrington, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Palatine will welcome Cary-Grove at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Barrington, they will host Huntley at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. Barrington knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matchups -- so hopefully Huntley likes a good challenge.
