Baseball Recap: Clear Creek Comes Up Short

They fell just short of the Middle Park Panthers by a score of 7-5 on Monday. The Golddiggers have struggled against the Panthers recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Wyatt Huff made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 4-for-4. He also hit a triple, marking his first of the season. Blake Weichel was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

Clear Creek's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Middle Park, their victory bumped their record up to 2-4.

While Clear Creek had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
