Volleyball Recap: Grissom Comes Up Short

Grissom was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 2-0 to the Mount Pisgah Christian Patriots.

Leading Mount Pisgah Christian to victory were Maddie Cuppia and Kamryn Smith. Cuppia had five aces and one assist, while Smith had two aces and one assist. That's the most aces Cuppia has posted since back in September of 2024.

Grissom's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Mount Pisgah Christian, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-6.

Grissom has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Oxford on the 23rd. As for Mount Pisgah Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Gulf Shores on the 23rd.
