Softball Recap: Adna Pirates vs. Onalaska Loggers

Adna entered their tilt with Onalaska with seven consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with eight. They never let the Onalaska Loggers onto the board and left with a 10-0 win on Wednesday. The result was nothing new for Adna, who have now won seven matches by seven runs or more so far this season.

Ava Simms made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and only one hit while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. Simms has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't pitched less than five innings in three consecutive pitching appearances. Simms was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.

In other batting news, Danika Hallom was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. Kendall Humphrey was another key contributor, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

Adna's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-2. As for Onalaska, their loss dropped their record down to 9-7.
