Soccer Recap: LAMP Comes Up Short

If LAMP was riding high fresh off their 10-0 takedown of Booker T. Washington two weeks ago, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The LAMP Golden Tigers came up short against the Trinity Presbyterian Wildcats on Tuesday, falling 5-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Golden Tigers of the 10-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

LAMP now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Trinity Presbyterian, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-3.

Looking ahead, LAMP will be playing in front of their home fans against Montgomery Catholic at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Montgomery Catholic's defense has only allowed 0.4 goals per game this season, so LAMP's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Trinity Presbyterian, they will venture away from home to challenge Saint James at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Saint James is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 5 goals per game this season.
