Basketball Recap: Tripoli Comes Up Short

Tripoli was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 85-30 loss at the hands of the Don Bosco Dons. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 338th, while the Dons are ranked 146th).

Tripoli's defeat dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Don Bosco, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-6.

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Tripoli Panthers face off against the Riceville Wildcats at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Don Bosco, they will face off against Clarksville at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
