Preview: Quakertown Panthers vs. Abington Galloping Ghosts
Quakertown has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will challenge the Abington Galloping Ghosts at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, Quakertown was able to grind out a solid win over Hatboro-Horsham, taking the game 59-48.
Meanwhile, Abington beat Pennsbury 54-45 on Saturday. Given Abington's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 22nd, while Pennsbury is ranked 178th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Quakertown's victory bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Abington, they pushed their record up to 7-2 with that win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.
Quakertown might still be hurting after the 68-48 loss they got from Abington when the teams last played back in February. Can Quakertown avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
