Recap: West Jordan Jaguars vs. Cyprus Pirates

The West Jordan Jaguars scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 76-61 win over Cyprus. Winning may never get old, but West Jordan sure is getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

West Jordan was led to victory by Rochelle Afo Manuma and Giselle Muffet. Afo Manuma scored 26 points along with eight rebounds and five assists, while Muffet scored 27 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. Afo Manuma is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Atyana Crosby, who scored three points along with nine rebounds and three steals.

West Jordan pushed their record up to 7-3 with that win, which was their third straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.0 points per game. As for Cyprus, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West Jordan will take on Granger at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Granger has now lost nine straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 14. As for Cyprus, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Hunter at 7:00 p.m. Hunter has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
