Volleyball Recap: Monterey Trail's Undefeated Season over After Three Games + How To Watch

Monterey Trail lost against Rosemont back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Mustangs fell just short of the Wolverines by a score of 3-2. The loss put an end to the Mustangs' undefeated start to the season.

Monterey Trail actually scored more points across those five sets (96-93), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-21, 9-25, 19-25, 15-12.

Cadence Neufeld paced Monterey Trail's offense, picking up 17 kills. Neufeld got some help from Xumai Nguyen and her 33 assists. Callie Neufeld controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Having lost for the first time this season, Monterey Trail fell to 2-1. As for Rosemont, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

After both having extra time off, Monterey Trail and Grant will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Mustangs are facing the Pacers at the right time seeing as the Pacers are stuck on a four-game losing streak. Rosemont has already played their next game (against Johnson), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
