Basketball Recap: Needville Comes Up Short

Needville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 17th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Brazosport Exporters 69-25. The Bluejays lost against the Exporters in their previous head to head back in November of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 76-11 score last time.

Brazosport's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Eshanti Green, who almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine rebounds. Green has been hot, having posted nine or more boards the last five times she's played. Sanii Player was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on 19 points and nine boards.

Needville's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Brazosport, they moved to 5-7 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Needville didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 44-18 defeat against Sweeny on the 13th. As for Brazosport, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 39-34 win against Bay City on the 13th.
