Recap: Saddle River Day Rebels vs. Cliffside Park Raiders
Even though the Cliffside Park Raiders scored an imposing 57 points on Saturday, the Saddle River Day Rebels still came out on top. Saddle River Day strolled past Cliffside Park with points to spare, taking the game 73-57. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Saddle River Day also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2017.
Several Raiders players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Thomas Calabrese, who scored 23 points. Another player making a difference was Ken Hunter, who almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine rebounds.
Saddle River Day's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-10. As for Cliffside Park, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-11 record this season.
Saddle River Day will take on Pioneer Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Saddle River Day is facing Pioneer Academy at the right time seeing as Pioneer Academy is stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Cliffside Park, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Pascack Hills at 4:15 p.m.
