Far Northeast W suffers eighth straight loss on the road

Recap: Far Northeast W Warriors vs. Denver South Ravens

This season hasn't been kind to the Far Northeast W Warriors, who are still winless after their 18th contest. They took a 51-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of Denver South on Wednesday. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Far Northeast W in their matchups with the Ravens: they've now lost four in a row.

Despite the loss, Far Northeast W still got an impressive performance from Jessie Matthews, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds.

Far Northeast W struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. They are winless (0-7) when they can't control their own glass like that.

Leading Denver South to victory were Jonathan Trease and Dominic Rhoades-Martinez. Trease scored 13 points along with two steals, while Rhoades-Martinez scored 16 points along with six rebounds and two steals. Rhoades-Martinez has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last seven times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Cole Shepherd, who scored three points along with four steals.

Far Northeast W's loss was their eighth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 0-18. As for Denver South, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 11-5.

Far Northeast W will head out on the road to face off against the Angels at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Denver East presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Warriors in Colorado (the Angels are ranked 57th, while the Warriors are ranked 311th). As for Denver South, they will take on the Eagles at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Dakota Ridge is coming into the match hot, having won their last nine games.
