Baseball Recap: Corry Beavers vs. Fairview Tigers
Corry dropped to 6-8 on Monday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins at home. They lost 14-2 to the Fairview Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-1 back in April.
Corry saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kamdyn Moon, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.
As for Fairview, the win keeps them at an undefeated 10-0-1. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.1 runs over those games.
On Fairview's side, Robert Benford made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off one hit. Benford has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in seven consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with three RBI.
