Basketball Game Preview: Falcon Falcons vs. Pueblo East Eagles

Last Friday, Falcon came up short against Pueblo East and fell 51-41.

Defeat or not, Falcon got some senior leadership from Macey Fothergill and Cierra Barbary. Fothergill posted eight points along with 12 steals and seven assists, while Barbary earned 11 points along with six boards and five steals. Fothergill has been hot for a while, having posted three or more steals the last 27 times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Cobelyn Wiesner, who had ten points and four steals.

Even though they lost, Falcon smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in 11 consecutive contests dating back to last season.

The win was the fifth in a row for Pueblo East, bringing their record for this year to 7-1. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 35.6 points. As for Falcon, their loss dropped their record down to 4-2.
