Baseball Recap: Prairie View Gets the Win

Prairie View had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Northglenn on Tuesday. Prairie View's pitcher stepped up to hand Northglenn a 10-0 shutout. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Thunderhawks considering their two-run performance the matchup before.

Noah Hernandez was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Giovanni Tarin, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one run.

Prairie View was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .522. The last time their batting average was this high was back in April of 2024.

As for Northglenn, they will venture away from home to square off against Riverdale Ridge at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Northglenn's pitchers better be ready for this one: Riverdale Ridge has averaged an impressive 7.4 runs per game this season.
