Basketball Recap: White County Takes a Loss

White County was the 66-57 winner over Cookeville when they last played one another back in January of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The White County Warriors fell to the Cookeville Cavaliers 59-54. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 299th, while the Cavaliers are ranked 117th).

White County's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Cookeville, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

White County will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Warren County at 6:00 p.m. on January 6, 2025. As for Cookeville, they will be taking part in a tournament against Montgomery Academy at 2:30 p.m. on Friday.
