Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Twinsburg). Everything went their way against the Kenston Bombers on Monday as they made off with a 15-2 victory. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Tigers considering their one-run performance the contest before.
Nicholas Labella tossed a big game, striking out six batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits.
At the plate, JD Okuma was a standout: he went 3-for-5 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That triple was his first of the season. Bobby Lemieux was another key player, getting on base in four of his six plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.
Twinsburg kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Kenston only managed six hits.
Twinsburg is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season.
