Reserve was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 71-63 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hatch Valley Bears. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Thursday (55), the Mountaineers still had to take the loss.

Hatch Valley found their leader in freshman Alex Dominguez, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds. Dominguez is crushing it when it comes to rebounds: he's pulled down at least ten every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Danny Gomez, who went 7 for 13 en route to 17 points.

Reserve's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Hatch Valley, their victory ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-1.
