Soccer Recap: Covington Comes Up Short

If Covington was riding high fresh off their 6-2 takedown of Slidell on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Lions fell 2-0 to the Northshore Panthers on Tuesday. While getting shut out isn't ideal, Covington haven't been shut out since back in November of 2025.

Covington's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-6-6. As for Northshore, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5-1 record this season.

Covington has already played their next match (against Christ Episcopal School), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Northshore, they have also already played their next contest, a 5-1 victory against Slidell on the 29th.
