Cedar Ridge gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Person Rockets. That's more bragging rights for the Fighting Red Wolves, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Cedar Ridge got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the fourth set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-17, 20-25, 28-30, 15-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cedar Ridge will welcome Southeast Alamance at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Person, they will host Franklinton at 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
