Mansfield couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They and the Minden Crimson Tide were almost perfectly matched up on Friday, but the Mansfield Wolverines suffered a 34-33 defeat. The Wolverines were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Crimson Tide apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2021.
