Soccer Game Preview: Elgin vs. Hendrickson

Elgin hasn't had much luck against Hendrickson recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Wildcats will head out to square off against the Hawks at 7:15 p.m. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Monday just wasn't the day for Elgin's offense. They came up short against Bastrop on Monday, falling 5-0. Elgin fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against Bastrop since Monday.

Meanwhile, Hendrickson also failed to score in their most recent game. They lost 3-0 to Bowie on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Hendrickson can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 247th, while Bowie are ranked 36th).

Elgin's loss dropped their record down to 8-3-1. As for Hendrickson, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-5.
