Baseball Game Preview: Tillamook Cheesemakers vs. Molalla Indians

The Tillamook Cheesemakers will challenge the Molalla Indians at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.

On Monday, Tillamook sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over Seaside. The Cheesemakers haven't had any issues with the Seagulls recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, Molalla entered their tilt with The Dalles on Friday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They skirted past the Riverhawks 5-3. That's two games straight that the Indians have won by exactly two runs.

Kyler Dickerson tossed a big game, striking out 11 batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Nyxon Hopping, who went 1-for-2 with one home run. That home run was his first of the season.

Tillamook's victory bumped their record up to 15-8. As for Molalla, their win bumped their record up to 19-6.

Tillamook skirted past Molalla 6-4 in their previous matchup back in March. Will the Cheesemakers repeat their success, or do the Indians have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
