Softball Recap: Sun Prairie West Takes a Loss

Sun Prairie West fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against Vel Phillips Memorial on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Spartans by a score of 11-10. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wolves of the 12-8 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Reagan Hunley made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That home run was her first of the season. Luciana Moreno was another key player, scoring three runs while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.
