Softball Recap: Franklin County Takes a Loss

Franklin County suffered their closest loss since May 9, 2024 on Saturday. They fell just short of the Connersville Spartans by a score of 10-8. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wildcats of the 9-8 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Franklin County got a big performance out of Tiffany Billman, who scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Bailey Kaiser, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.

Franklin County's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Connersville, their record is now 3-6.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Franklin County is set to take on their familiar foe Lawrenceburg at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Connersville will face off against rival Rushville at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
