Sunnyside had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They walked away with a 9-5 victory over the West Point Dragons on Wednesday. Winning may never get old, but the Blue Devils sure are getting used to it with their eighth in a row.

Ashley Rosthenhausler spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and two unearned) runs on five hits and racked up 12 Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Sunnyside let Alyssa Gonsalez and Celeste Borboa run wild. Gonsalez went 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI, while Borboa went 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. That's the most RBI Gonsalez has posted since back in March of 2025. Ariciana Puig was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Sunnyside's win bumped their record up to 20-8. As for West Point, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 18-10.

As of now, neither Sunnyside nor the Dragons have any future games scheduled.
