Caydence Powell Game Report: vs Montgomery Academy

While Friday's win was certainly a team effort, someone pulling more than their own weight was underclassman Caydence Powell. She wasn't messing around on Friday, striking out six batters over three innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits (and not a single walk). The pitching appearance was her fifth straight with two or fewer hits.

Powell's strong effort led Autauga Academy over Montgomery Academy and she'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles are limping into the matchup having lost 15 straight on the road dating back to last season.
