Basketball Game Preview: Rustin vs. Clinton School

Rustin will head out to face off against Clinton School at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Rustin is headed into Saturday's matchup hungry for a win as their strong season has now been derailed by two straight defeats. They took a 64-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of Beacon on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Clinton School came up short against Math Science & Engineering on Thursday and fell 42-33.

Rustin will have to contain Lila Tepperberg as she made an impact in Clinton School's last game. She posted 15 points along with seven boards and five assists. Tepperberg has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Victoria Choi was another key player, putting up ten points and seven rebounds.

Rustin's loss dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Clinton School, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-8.

Rustin was dealt a bruising 69-23 loss at the hands of Clinton School in their previous matchup back in January of 2025. Thankfully for Rustin, Kate Stanley (who almost dropped a double-double with 18 points and nine assists) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
