Softball Recap: Girard Academic Music Program Finds Playoff Glory Versus Kensington

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Girard Academic Music Program walked away with it. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Kensington KENSINGTON TIGER a 7-0 shutout on Tuesday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Pioneers as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Girard Academic Music Program picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 2-6. As for Kensington, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.

Looking ahead, Girard Academic Music Program will face off against Franklin Towne at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. The Pioneers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Warriors have averaged an impressive 9.8 runs per game this season. Kensington does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
