Preview: Clear Brook Wolverines vs. Alief Elsik Rams
The Clear Brook Wolverines will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against the Alief Elsik Rams at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. Clear Brook has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Clear Brook pushed their score all the way to 60 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 68-60 to Clear Lake. While losing is never fun, Clear Brook can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 717th, while Clear Lake is ranked 181st).
Meanwhile, Alief Elsik unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They fell to Furr 52-48.
Clear Brook has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost seven of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-13 record this season. As for Alief Elsik, their loss dropped their record down to 5-10.
