Baseball Recap: Eureka Has No Trouble Against Arcata

Eureka came out on top against Arcata on Saturday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run fourth inning. The Loggers put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 12-2 win. The result was nothing new for the Loggers, who have now won five matches by seven runs or more so far this season.

Ty Crawford made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits. Crawford was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. Those three hits gave him a new career-high.
